Downtown - side street
Another lovely facade on an insignificant side street. The red cross you see is a sign for a fondue restaurant that was almost open. It was a wonderful thought and occasionally one could find it open, but it seemed as though the French owner could not really decide if he wanted to be in business. It had been closed now for over a year.

Thats a very nice looking building. Is that justone light hanging over the center of the intersection? Does
Wonderful picture! You got it at just the right angle.
i would never guess that the red (white?) cross is a sign for a fondue restaurant! yummy!!
Beautiful building, great detail. It looks to me like the "light" is a security camera. Is that a Swiss Fondue restaurant?
It is the paperwork for the bureaucrats, he has no time for cooking.
Most likely a Swiss restaurant. Lovely architectural detailing and very bad parking habits! ;D
the cross looks so swiss; and its hard to imagine that such a beautiful building is on an insignificant side street

As you say a beautiful facade...
Beautiful architecture...

Very beautiful facade, and with those corner windows.
it is frustrating when you want to go to a favourite place and never know if it will be open! Those 'back in 10 minutes' signs are the easiest way to lose customers! Surprising that the building is still empty, after a week here those premises would be snapped up for a new business!
It would be nice to live right on the corner. I thought that place with the red cross awning was a hospital or doctor's office. :) I come across several restaurants similar to your fondue place. The restaurant is there, but it never seems to open. Eventually they close up and another restaurant pops up in its location. I hope it becomes an inexpensive sushi place. Haha!
With the building being so lovely, I wonder if this street was not always insignificant?
Or perhaps the builder simply could not put anything up, which was plain and mundane. On an insignificant street or not.
I think I like the later. :-)

That's unusual: a fondue restaurant. I can't imagine it would do well (but I don't go out anyhow!). The building is stunning. Hopefully some day they will again design and build majestic buildings like this.
