Hungarian Academy of Science
This beautiful building sits on the bank of the Danube, close to the Chain Bridge and across the park from the Gresham Palace (the new Four Seasons Hotel in Budapst). It is also the Academy where the wedding reception of of Sophia Loren's son and his Hungarian violinist bride was held.
Below, in the frying pan accompanied by some onions - can you tell what is bubbling? It helps to have a lot of these if you expect to be walking the halls of the above mentioned Academy.

Beautiful building! As for the food, my first thought was brains, then mussels, then I gave up, lol.
That's a beautiful building and interesting information about it. As for what's in the pan...I'm not so sure I want to know. lol
The building is indeed beautiful - will pass on what's in the pan LOL
It is a beautiful building. I love the lanterns in the foreground and statuary on the building.
What's cooking in the pan?? Doesn't look too appetizing, but I'll bite and say calf brains. (I'd be barred from ever commenting again if I said what I really think it was :)
Enjoy your Sunday.
Greetings and thank you for visiting. The gentlemen were correct, it is brains on sauted onions. It may not look good, but it does taste great and who knows, it may help. :)
At first I thought it was bacon, but my second thought was brains. Is that a local delicacy?
Today's post from Hungary is making me Hungry!

The pic of the food made me feel ....don't ask.
