Night on the Town

A peak at the Comedy Theater from across the street. A lavish and beautiful building with a grand front door. Theater season is about to begin - do you attend theater regularly in your home town?

I wish i could attend the theatre regularly where I live! I guess I like to visit Hungary to much to be able to afford it! I do try to see at least two shows a year...so difficult to choose!!

What a magnificent building - so ornate!!!! There are no theatres here but we do have open air performances of local dances called singsings - very dramatic especially the Fire Dancers - see n here in an old post of mine.

Il est joli ce théatre...

Je vais parfois au théâtrz, mais à Nantes, car ma "petite" ville nantale n'a pas de théâtre...

A bientôt.

The door is quite spectacular! I'm so glad that you photographed and posted it because it is quite beautiful. Yes, we have a town that has numerous theatres, among which is the world-renowned Guthrie Theatre which we have been attending for years! Check Google for some wonderful information on the Guthrie!

Wow, the theater is magnificent. I love the glass and iron awning on top of the entrance.

I rarely go to theater here in NYC mainly because they are quite expensive.

The only time in my life I've attended theatre regularly is when I lived in London, England, for 3 months as a student. I went to about 6 or 8 plays and what an experience! Not one of them was in the same theatre.

Here at home, there are plenty of options (not like London, though), but I don't find the pull as strong to go. Europe just has that aura. The American West...not so much.
