Sidewalk Decor

Don't these covers look lovely? Making a utilitarian object a decoration. Actually, I'm surprised that they have not been stolen and turned in for scrap metal as are most tangible and movable things in Hungary are - including cables, train tracks, statues....so enjoy, while they are still here.

Those are a neat pattern Isadora. The same is true here too - if it's not tied or bolted down it gets stolen. Cities have to come up with new and inventive ideas whenever they decorate.

We have those in our downtown here in Walla Walla, as well. It's interesting that they chose to do this, if metal has a way of disappearing there...
