This beautiful building was remodeled just 2 years ago and it sparkled in the street. Not sure if it is the weather or the job the construction crew did but look at all the mildew spots all over the face of that beautiful building. It is not pretty and surely, it can't be healthy.

It's amazing, isn't it? Budapest architecture is so beautiful, but most of the buildings look like they could use a coat of paint. I thought it was a case of negligence, but if that building was restored just a couple of years ago... Very weird.
I wonder if they can put something in the paint to prevent mildew.
That IS incredible for just two years! Such a lovely building!

wonderful structure
What a beautiful facade. I wonder if there isn't a stain of some sort in the stone that starts to show through after a couple of years.
an amazing structure. but the dark sparkles remind me of mold :(
I probably wouldn't have noticed if you had not mentioned it. I love that little balcony. Beautiful building in spite of the stains.
Beautiful building.
I think the mildew has to do with a combination of the type of paint used and poor insulation within the building. But I'm no expert, lol.
Bad paint or worst painters?
(I'm waiting for you upstairs... or should I now go done to see what's inside the basket?)
ooooh. good observation! that is very sad as it is indeed a pretty building.
If it is a government building, maybe the contract went to the lowest bidder:)
it really is a beautiful building. i guess the mold/mildew must be from the paint...
If you overlook the mildew, the balcony looks beautiful!
Must be the weather I guess...We get that here a lot especially now. Right, never healthy...Lovely architecture there!
I love it except those air cond radiators :-(
The mildew is sad. But the building is still lovely.

Too bad about the mildew. That is an amazing building.
Hopefully the mildew hasn't permeated to the inside.
