If It's Wednesday, It Must be Doors

This elaborately carved structure with a 'roof' is what is known as a Transylvanian Gate. This gate is also located in Bajna. It is the former residence of a well known potter that had been turned into a guest house and camp for children by the Friends of Bajna.

That red roof is so wonderful. Wow, you keep bringing us such great scenes. I want to visit in person!

Je ne connaissais pas cette appellation "Transylvanien gate". Est-elle particulière à la Hongrie ? Quelle est l'origine de cette expression ?

Ici la porte est bien belle, toute sculptée !

Laurie it would be wonderful if you did - I'd be happy to bring you out to the countryside as well.

There was some serious fund raising done by the Friends in order to get that building into shape (including the roof) but now it is ready to receive guests.

Thank you and Melanie - and everyone else - for your visit and generous comments.

I like this simple house and its red roof against that lovely blue sky. But the garden gate I like the most. It really is beautiful.

Must have taken a great deal of skill to assemble that beautiful gate and fence. Really very pretty!! Cathy
