Edible Flowers
Last week we've seen photos of the garden and the huge zucchini plant with many flowers but no zucchini. Today was the day to pick some of those flowers, batter, and fry them up.
The results were a wonderful platter of crispy, tender deep fried flowers. Vegetarian, fresh and delicious!

I've had squash blossom delicacies similar to these, and they are truly wonderful. Great duo photos to show us the process.
Are they very filling?
Je ne connais pas .... mais cela semble bien bon !
Have dear friends who do just as you do. They are love them and because they are somewhat of a "delicacy" depending on how many blooms they want to prune, they are savored. Thank you for sharing
Yummy is right. the little crunch and the sweetness---again YUMMY!!
That looks good. Making me hungry.
I've had edible flowers in salads but never deep fried. (And I was born in Texas where we fry EVERYTHING!)
Looks yummy!
Wow, that's interesting. I never knew those were edible..
It sure looks good especially deep fried.
Oh that looks yummy! (have you tried friend dill pickles?)
These are so nice: are they savoury too?
how clever?
I'd like to know who first decided to do that. hm.
