If It's Wednesday, It Must be Doors

As long as I'm here looking and it is Wednesday, let me post a beautiful door from the city of Rome. The photo was taken during our annual spring vacation.

The door it self is already impressive, but what I like most is the iron part above, with its great and fine work

Beautiful doorway. I have been trying to follow your example of posting doorways on Wednesday for a while now. I'm glad you led the way and made me look at doorways in an entirely different way. Hope you are doing well.

That is a sturdy looking door.

It looks heavy and hard to push open. There must be another door inside because of the opening at the top.

I love the ironwork above...not much like that over on our bit of land!

Very clever these Italians. Yes, the door is too grand and heavy to open for daily human use. If you look carefully, there is a smaller (regular) door cut into it for daily passage where the handle and the door knocker are, but only on the right side. :) You guys are sharp!

Isadora, I always have enjoyed to visit your blog!

We are now busy pretty much in the coming days with our upcoming travel plans, so sorry that I was not visiting so often and maybe not will be around so often in the future too.

Well hello Isadora! Doors are so fascinating to observe in different parts of the world! Our doors are not so fancy!
