Hero's Square

To the right of the monuments is the Museum of Graphic Arts. As you can tell there was recent renovation on its facade and the facade looks fresh. There is a demonstration going on at the monuments across the way, which is what the people are looking at. Strangest site - the demonstrators were cordoned off and there was heavy police presence - passers by could simply look on from a distance.

I could spend hours looking at those columns but I'd sell my soul to see what's inside. What a wondrous building. Thanks for sharing these captures.

Very beautiful murals and the gold at the tops of the columns is wonderful.

Hi Isadora, here I am trying to recapture your last posts on my weekly visit! I'm particularly impressed with the blue sky, since today we had a rather wet Saturday...The Museum looks quite clean and the Baths absolutely stunning! The Buda Palace looked nice and the sculptures, lonely...
Late congrats on your daughter's birthday!
Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter, where I’m still strolling around the streets of Sofia.
Have a great weekend!

I love the Conrinthian columns being gilded (with gold?) at the tops. It is another striking example of the beautiful buildings in your wonderful city.

Zsolt said that the city hall of Vienna resembles the city hall of Budapest...I say this too resembles the Parliament in Vienna! I love the colors here better though, soft to the eyes. Hope you'll have a great week ahead...Take care!
