Not So Fashionable Areas of Andrassy

These buildings are in the midst of Andrassy Blvd. close to the Opera. The stores that were once here have closed and the battles are going on behind the scene to see which flagship store will show up here with a fashionable brand name. Sad in a way as Hungarians are being squeezed out of their own city.

Hi Isadora,

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Blog! I've enjoyed taking a peek at Budapest whilst I've been here :)

I've never been a city person but it's certainly interesting to see and hear about city life around the world.

What a pity that facade is in such a bad shape.

I think we all are losing our identity to the big corporate giants. The building looks nice hopefully whoever takes it over will not transform it into something plain.

It will be interesting to see the result of the renovations.

I love the last photo, and seems that the trees seem so lonely and barren
must be they can feel the sadness as well.
