Romeo, Romeo wherefor art Thou

Must be sentiments left over from Valentine's day - but these balconies just struck my fancy. It is Friday - I hope something is striking yours?

The balcony scene is one of my favorite Shakespearean scenes. Who couldn't imagine themselves almost 14 years old and being in love.

There seems to be 2 wires going across the first balcony door. I think the occupant might have to duck before through those doors. The statues in the 2nd balcony are quite revealing. :)

Dot :) figured I couldn't be the only one.

Dan, Clueless - what romantics! Nice to know :)

GMG Welcome back. :) I've stood on Giuliet's balcony in 1974 - and back then nobody knew of Casa di Romeo. I believe by now they realized it too could be marketed and 'found' one. :)

AVCR8TEUR - the electrical wires you are seeing run in the middle of the street, the angle of the photo is such that it appears to be at balcony level.

Thank you everyone for visiting - I love these wrought iron works and thankfully, there is quite a bit around town.

... of course, my first thought was about Juliet ... then something strucked my mind ... it couldn´t be Juliet because this is Budapest ... ah, I know ... Isadora wherefor art Thou? Isadora?

Isadora, I love the arches and porticos of the windows in these shots. I wouldn't mind having a balcony scene there! Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day. Happy Friday!

Thanks for the visit Isadora! Don't you hate when work relationships can be compared to the St. Valentine's Day massacre

I find that all the iron work on balconies, windows and doors in Mexico and so many European cities as true works of art. Great caption!
