Szechenyi Baths in City Park

This is my favorite of the Budapest mineral spas and it also happens to be the closest to me. Just a short ride on the underground from the Oktogon under Andrassy Blvd. you surface in front of this magnificent structure.
It was recently given a face-lift and a new coat of bright yellow paint (which, for some reason did not reflect well in my photos) and looks simply majestic. Today being my daughter's birthday, I simply wanted to show you something befitting a celebration.

Magnificent is the word to describe this building. I love the decorations and statuary on it. I wonder if it is ornate inside. I hope you were able to take pictures inside.

Happy Birthday to your daughter! And to you too!

Oh you really scared me for a minute when those penquins started wobbling around. I thought there was a bug on my screen!

P.S. I love your 'feed the penguins' widget. I can't tell you how much time I just wasted with that ridiculously charming thing.
