Discarded Twins

As excited as we all were a few weeks ago to take home a shapely, fragrant tree - right now, people are equally anxious to discard them quickly. I generally keep the tree up as long as the needles are willing to stay - and these do look like they were willing. Do you still have your tree up?

No! I have always been told it is unlucky to leave any decorations up after the 6th of January.

that looks sad. i'm definitely happy with a fake one, saves money and the environment. we took down ours last week. i'm with clarice, i heard that it's bad luck after a certain date.

I agree with zakscloset, this looks so sad. Like Clarice I don't have my tree up any more. At my house we take it down within a week after Christmas. We just need to reclaim our living room!

They do look unwanted and sad! We removed ours quickly because we were leaving cold MN for warm Mazatlan!

Yes... -blushing- But it is an artificial tree and in no fear of catching on fire.

When our children lived at home, and for some time after as well, we went out and cut down our Christmas trees. But then, it got a bit much, and we finally got an artificial one.

Wonderful for my husband because the *dreaded* job of putting on and taking off lights, is no more. :-)

You liked "my" lion's face. I too was taken with it. :-) Thank you for noting it.

After my children grew up and left home I quit having a tree. Some consider me a bah humbug and some say they don't have one either.

No tree this year, took a vacation so we didnt want to put one up only to have to turn around and take it down. Normally we take it down the first weekend after new year. Now the outdoor Christmas lights are a different story. Some years they have stayed up until June.
