A Glowing Facade

After the dark cloudy afternoons, Thursday greeted Budapest with brilliant sunshine. Caught this impressive facade on the opposite side of the street walking to work. It was enough to bring a smile to my face. Hope it will do the same for you.

I just checked the weather forecast for Budapest. Looks like you are going to be a few degrees colder than us. Funny, I always thought that your weather was warmer, in general.

The building does seem to glow in your photo. How old is it? Everything looks pristine.

Thank you for your comments and visits.

You should look at it now, raining pretty steadily. It's been promised all week and mostly it only clouded or the mornings bathed in sunshine.

Have no idea how old the building is - but I would say most of the mansions on the boulevard date from approximately 1800's. When I see the modern glass buildings - somehow, it just doesn't equate.

I'll have doors on display next week.

Thank you for your visits and comments! Have a great week-end all.

Beautiful stonework, Isadora.

Sorry it's raining now. I hope it clears up and you have a great weekend.

Your photo really picked up the frieze relief sculpture (?-in the pediment area) well, and great angle too.
