Curiosity

There is a private clinic beneath my apartment where they specialize in treating athletic injuries complete with surgery. There are also two dentists on board and it appears that one may be moving or getting a new chair. Whatever may be happening, this poor fella had been made to stand in the corner for the past few days.

I'd hate to have to pass that every day since my dental visits are seldom a welcome experience. Not bad but not fun!

Hmmm makes you wonder where it is going doesn't it?

I am with Kate. I don't care to be reminded of the dentist too often. I wonder what he is doing leaving the chair in the hallway like that. I am surprised someone hasn't taken it.

I was a chair once, but I was a good chair, and they never made me stand in the corner. ;)

Neat peek into your world.

Thanks,
Wayne

PS. What I like about going to the dentist: When I lay back in that chair, there is NOTHING else in the world that I am supposed to be doing. I find that relaxing. (What does that say about me?)

Kate and Dan - totally agree, despite the fact that I've a great dentist (not at the private clinic). Dan you must know Hungary! That is also almost amazing to me - that the chair is still there! They steal statues, rails, chairlift motor and cable, who knows what - for scrap metal on a regular basis. Although, I may show you the building - because of the clinic and other than residents coming in - we've a gate and a glass door at the entrance with coded or key entrance.

Wayne - that is really rare. You must be the most trusting soul there is. I trust my dentist but I think my worrying and stressing (to the point of nausea) while she works helps her succeed :)

Richard - one day! Wonder what you would have to do (professionally) to be able to make a living so you can stay for a year or so. Surely, you could not make a living teaching English in Mauritius - although a small shack along the beach would be more than enough for me for a while. :)

Neva - around here, you wonder about something all the time. If I've made you guys curious(er) at all - check out PestiSide.hu occasionally. Erik D'Amato expanded his talents and writes his take on life, food and sex (what else) in Hungary.

Thank you all for coming by for a visit - I'm trying to wake up and drinking my precious stash of Starbucks Verona. Have a wonderful (it's COLD) Tuesday!

Those chairs bring back bad memories. Looks like the chair was delivered recently, but the good doctor is out of the office.

lfpvhi once saw one being used as a tv chair in a large minimalist home, quirky and comfortable, but I also don't like to be reminded of whining drills, eeeek.

That's a great shot, Isadora!
I love the angle, and the creepy dentist's chair lurking in the hallway.

Wow, that is truly "out-patient" surgery.

I don't like going to the dentist either. I can be such a coward about some things. I like the balcony view, though. :-D

I think you should go down there and sit in the chair until someone comes.

You might get a free cleaning.

Halfway house to the dentist

I love this photo, especially the curve on the railing/veranda in the photo. It reminds me of the apartments in Europe.

We don't have this architecture here in NYC.

I really like the architecture in this shot and your perspective looking down. Strange to see the chair. Maybe you should put some potted plants on it to add a splash of color...
Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. I appreciated it so much.

Is, we will hire you a boat... just so you can come along for the drinks!

And paddling in the dark is amazing, the water is like INK, and you can't see as well, so you hear more. All sorts of strange plops and gurgles, and you wonder what is it that bumped your boat! :O

Thanks for stopping by!

The angle of the shot is great.I have a great dentist. Handsome too! Needless to say, one look at him and I don't need too much anesthetic! Tee! Hee!

Much to all our relief - when I got home yesterday evening - the chair was gone. Good thing I did not wait too long to take the shot.

Thank you all for visiting and leaving your comments. Funny, how something as ordinary as a dentist chair resonates such strong emotions in all of us :) - yet, I was counting on it.
