Most people have become used to it, but there is something extra ordinary about this otherwise ordinary sidewalk. Don't you think? It could have been plain as the rest of the sidewalk, but there was that whimsical thought in the mind of the designer that said - nope, let's do something different. :) I like it.

I don't see much cobblestone so to me it looks unusual and very beautiful.
haha, good point! it looks like it started out as a flower or something but not really...looks very unique!
I agree with Dot - any cobblestone is very unusual for me and this one is particularly nice!!!
A true artist put that there - it looks wonderful.
The design certainly makes the cobblestone sidewalk visually more interesting. A nice little touch that probably didn't cost anything extra, except for a little more time laying the cobblestones.

That´s a nice drawing on that cobblestone.
Here in Portugal we still have a lot of that mostly in Lisbon and other southern cities. Not in the part where I live.
Very nice. A great way to perk up a sidewalk without have people bump into it.
Adds a colorful, even though its monochrome, and lively touch to the cobblestone.
So lovely!!!!!!!! Of course, I've never been lucky enough to see something like this. Always ~ just plain cobblestones. Which are beautiful in themselves too but...

I love cobblestone,here in Bend Or they seem to be doing a little more of cobblestone. But has no comparison to the European countries
