Decorative Exterior

This is a building across from the main synagogue near the Astoria intersection. As I was trying to find a good position to shoot the synagogue it struck me how beautiful the facade of this building was.

You guys are so great! Just got back after two days in WINDY and FREEZING Warsaw. Slept little, walked a lot and am ready to drop - and here I find all these wonderful comments from the past two days.

Thank you - it really was 'coming home' I promise to make up for my lack of visits over the week-end. Have a wonderful Friday.

That's amazing. It's hard to imagine someone trying to make a building like that these days.

Glad you're back in your warm home. Interesting drawings on that building. The grayish paint on the top floor makes it feel like a cold place.

The Budapest Four Seasons is gorgeous. But, honestly, I would never think Hungary is behind the times! More ahead of the times. In my opinion, when you compare classical and historical architecture to modern and contemporary, classical and historical is way more evolved--in terms of look, design, everything.
